Like to find out how I might be able to add a brake to my 3 phase motor so that it doesnt move when someone trys to adjust it.
Right now my motor is coupled with a ball screw and the load is traveling with the ball screw. At the moment is working all fine. However with an increase in load say 5kg after travelling at high speed (3000 rpm) it is to stop at certain locations, there is usually momentum great enough to cause a drift in the position. Is there a way once I have reached the desired distance to apply "brakes" to the motor so that it stops? Please advise.
