Part Number:DRV8301
Hi TI team;
I have BOOSTXL DRV8301 motor drive booster pack plus Launchpad XL F28027F FOC instaspin. I bought a three phase motor (HobbyKing BL1230 5300 Kv Brushless Inrunner Motor) to work with those EVAL kits. The motor manufacturer says it needs to work with 3 lipo battery and an ESC. and that using TI configuration ( stated above) instead of ESC and using lab dc power supply ( instead of Lipo battery) pulls the motor out of warranty.
I have been looking for motors that I can run with theses evaluation boards I have got from TI. It is not good that TI does not provide the motor compatible with them. Can you please advise me of your views on the motor manufacturer comments? it will be a great help.
To sum up is dc lab power supply set on 11.1 V connected to the booster pack's motor power header+ evaluation kits (replacing the ESC) and HobbyKing BL1230 5300 Kv Brushless Inrunner Motor work fine together?- I will need to set the current limit on the power supply to min and gradually increase the current to the point that motor starts spinning.
Thank you in advance for your support
