Hi TI experts,
We have a customer driving stepper motor using DRV8711 + MOSFETs. On every motor driver board, there are two DRV8711. The power supply for motor is 48V, and the peak current of the motor is 6 Amps.
For now, they received about 100 return for fix out of 3000. All find out to be DRV8711 damaged. The motor driver board is mounted inside a control cabinet, so my guess it 's likely not related to ESD damage,
There are a few damaged DRV8711 which can be seen a burn sign on the package, but most with the package intact.
Customer wants to know if there is anything they might ignore using DRV8711 in their design, please help to identify the possible cause to this issue.
