DRV8301: How to calculate DRV8301 switching losses

Part Number:DRV8301

I'd like to better evaluate and better understand power loss on the drv8301. The datasheet lists a single typical operating condition current, I PVDD1_OP = 15 mA at 10 kHz/100 nC gate charge. It doesn't list if that is at a specific voltage, is that for the entire range of voltage? Is it for running 6 100 nC gate changes? Also I don't understand the charge pump. What exactly does it do, does it save power vs just having an LDO from PVDD to GVDD? If it does save power then wouldn't the operating current go down with voltage? Worst case with an LDO would we expect about 6 mA current at those frequencies? If I double the switching frequency would I expect operating current to double or just go up by 6 mA, or less?

Ultimately I'd like to operate a device like the boostxl-drv8301 with 31 nC gate charge at 48V and 100 kHz. But no load gate drive losses seem high and I can predict them.
