Hi,
I'm trying to run a BOOSTXL-DRV8301 on a LaunchXL-F28069M. The software is running fine (so far) but the amplified current signal coming from the BoostXL is too weak. I tried to set the GAIN to different values (10 - 80) but the output never changes. To check this I let run some DC-Current through load resistors and check the Voltage with a scope. It results, that the signal coming into the ADC is 10 Times smaller than what it should be with amplification 80, no change is visible when the GAIN setting is changed. Voltage signal is more or less 1.58V while it should be at 0.8V.
Gain is set through SPI and this should work, since the Register content is checked and correct (like in the examples).
The BoostXL is not faulty, if I plug it into a LaunchXL-F28377M the current signals are amplified as they should. I checked also REF input of the 8301, it is at 3.31V so there's no reason for the amplifier not to work? Are there any other inputs affecting the function of the Current-Sense-Amplifier?
