I just bought an eval board for DRV10983 but had a problem powering it up.
I followed the instruction on the quick start and installed all the drivers and software for the eval board. However, when I tried to turn on the 24V power the first time, I saw a short.
I set the current limit on the lab power supply to be 2A. But when I turned on the supply, the voltage goes down to 6V. I then unplugged all the cables and connections to the eval board, and measured the resistance between 24V Vcc to ground, and it shows only 2.6 Ohm. There is a short somewhere on the board. Does this show that I am getting a bad eval board? Please confirm so that I can make an exchange for the board. Thanks.
