We are designing a stepper motor driver for CNC machine. I have following questions regarding that.
(Our motors are 24V 2A Bipolar stepper motors and we want to run them with 1/8 or 1/16 microstepping.)
1) Which is the best suited decay mode for CNC machines?
2a) What exactly is nHome pin and how can be it used calibrate machine?
2b) Is it possible to eliminate use of rotary encoder with proper use of nHome function? If yes then how to implement that?
3) nSleep, nReset can be hardwired to VCC and still efficiently use nHome function?
4) In nSleep, nReset, mode is motor freewheeling?
5) We have made prototype of DRV8825 with sense resistors of 0.15ohms and Vref at 1.3V we get limit current of 1.7A in this settings we get lots of humming how to avoid that?
